1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Verdict IDE, a product of TrueSynthesis Inc ("TrueSynthesis," "we," "our," or "us"), uses cookies and browser storage when you visit verdictide.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (including local and session storage) can serve a similar purpose. This policy uses "cookies" to cover both unless it says otherwise.

The public pages of verdictide.com do not set analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies or pixels. We do not use Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, or an advertising pixel on those pages.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

We set the following first-party cookies only when they are needed for sign-in or a request you make. They protect the service and cannot be disabled without preventing those requested features from working.

  • __Host-authjs.csrf-token: protects sign-in and other authentication requests from cross-site request forgery. It is a secure, HTTP-only session cookie.
  • __Secure-authjs.callback-url: returns you to the appropriate Verdict page after sign-in. It is a secure, HTTP-only session cookie.
  • __Secure-authjs.session-token: keeps an authenticated user signed in. It is a secure, HTTP-only cookie with a maximum lifetime of 30 days.

We may also set the NEXT_LOCALE cookie after you actively choose a language. It remembers that selection and is used only to present the language you requested. Signed-in product surfaces may store your chosen workspace and display settings locally on your device so the requested application works as you configured it. That storage is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Optional Cookies and Your Choices

We do not currently deploy optional analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce optional cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will first provide a clear choice to accept or reject each optional category, will keep them off until an affirmative choice where required by law, and will make withdrawal as easy as acceptance.

You can also delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Removing the necessary cookies signs you out; removing local preferences resets the affected setting.

5. Third-Party Services

Stripe may set its own strictly necessary security and fraud-prevention cookies when you start a payment. Google or GitHub may set cookies when you choose one of those providers to sign in. Those services act only after you start the corresponding payment or sign-in flow and are governed by their own notices, including the Stripe Privacy Policy.

6. Regional Information

For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, and Canada, necessary storage is limited to the service and security purposes described above. Optional storage requires a lawful basis and, where consent is required, an affirmative choice. For United States residents, we do not use cookie data to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will provide the required opt-out, including recognition of applicable browser-based opt-out signals.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
