What is Cloud Connect?

Cloud Connect enables secure, NAT-safe remote access to your locally running Verdict IDE. The key insight is simple: your IDE maintains an outbound connection to our cloud relay, so you can reach it from anywhere without exposing your machine to the internet.

How It Works

Traditional remote access requires opening inbound ports or running VPNs—complex, error-prone, and often blocked by corporate IT. Cloud Connect takes a different approach:

Both your IDE and your remote device connect outbound to the relay. The relay routes messages between authenticated peers. Your machine never accepts inbound connections.

Why outbound-only matters: Inbound connections require port forwarding, static IPs, and firewall exceptions. Outbound connections "just work" because they look like normal web traffic to your network.

Create an Account

Register Your Device

In Verdict IDE, click the cloud icon and select "Connect to Cloud." You'll see a code to enter at verdictide.com/device.

Visit verdictide.com/remote, select your device, and start monitoring.

That's it! No port forwarding, no VPN setup, no IT tickets. Your IDE handles the rest automatically.

Intentionally Limited: Cloud Connect is a monitoring and light-control surface, not a remote shell. You can pause tasks, but you can't execute arbitrary code. This is a security feature.
